A Knitted Dress

The Vance Kirkland Museum of Decorative Arts is a Denver gem. I’ve lived here twenty years and had never heard of it. On Valentine’s week-end, I saw the interior.
This dress is one example of what a visitor can see among all the exhibits. I looked and then looked again at this dress creation. I won’t forget it.

Differences in Men and Women Meeting as Strangers

As we age, women will look at our peers to catch a clue of how to move, maintain composure, try a new style or turn a phrase. Often, we then smile at each other and gently chat.
Men of the same age, move purposely, visually size each other up…and almost never smile or begin a conversation.

IMG_0885I’m wondering why some people ignore getting older and just keep right on being who they want to be. Did these people find themselves later in life or were they always a little more dapper than most? It takes either confidence or courage to truly be yourself all the way to the end. It’s fun to spot these folks.
